A street scooter is not meant for kids and serves a very different purpose from that of a two wheeled scooter, moped or motorcycle. The smallest and lightest of the four wheel scooters, they fit easily in the trunk of a car and can accompany you on a plane as part of your luggage. They can be disassembled and reassembled easily. Some models weigh less than 100 pounds.

On the other end of the spectrum are the heavy duty scooters; rugged and durable scooters that can handle almost any terrain. The largest and heaviest scooters, they usually have a wider wheel base, oversize tires, bigger batteries and many other upgraded features.  This is the only type of scooter that is able to accommodate people over 5’ 11’ and/or 300 lbs. Some models can support up to 500 lbs.
